Adele Beats Beyoncé For Album Of The Year!
Adele broke the Grammys for 2017 — literally and metaphorically.
She destroyed the stage multiple times with her angelic voice and presence, so it certainly was a night to remember in my book.
The most emotional part of the night, however, was the very end when Adele beat out Beyoncé for Album of the Year.
Yup, 25 took home the gold over Lemonade, which left the audience pretty stunned.
She praised the “Formation” singer and said,
"I can’t possibly accept this award, and I’m very humbled and I’m very grateful and gracious, but my artist of my life is Beyoncé and this album for me, the Lemonade album, is just so monumental — Beyoncé, so monumental, and so well-thought out and so beautiful and soul-bearing and we all got to see another side to you that you don’t always let us see, and we appreciate that and all us artists here adore you. You are our light and the way you make me and my friends feel, the way you make my black friends feel is empowering, and you make them stand up for themselves and I love you, I always have and I always will."
According to Us Weekly, Adele apparently took things to the next level by snapping her Grammy in half to share with Bey.
Yeah, she literally broke the thing. The girl ain’t messing around.
You just have to love Adele after all of this! Bff's forever!
