Selena Gomez Reveals What "Bad Liar" Is About
Selena Gomez has recently dropped a new single and has reveled in a interview what and who it is about (sort of)..
When the song first released less than two weeks ago, Selena's collaborator and songwriter Justin Tranter explained the lyrics are about "when you first start having feelings for someone, but don’t want to admit it, which turns you into a 'Bad Liar.'"
Many people and fans have been wondering if it is about Boy friend 'The Weekend' and from the sound of the interview it could well be. Selena explained the song in detail:
"It kind of tells a story. It's that feeling when you're obsessed with someone, when you first initially, I always say the "honeymoon stage," and I'm a sucker for that feeling. It's the best feeling in the whole world. I think that feeling, you can't get them out of your head, you're willing to want to dress differently, you want to be differently. It's not what I'm encouraging, it's more about that feeling that you can't keep it cool".
But as the song suggests, the singer doesn't remain subtle when it comes to showing affection.
"It's just what I'm feeling at this exact moment, and I don't know how to play it cool. I'm not that girl. I'm very much, "This is who I am, this is kind of what you get." And it's worked out for me so far! I definitely think other girls can relate to that".
Considering Selena's extreme celebrity status (she's the most-followed user on Instagram with 121 million followers), the smallest PDA can come off as a big deal. "Nowadays I can't even post a picture, it's too much, it lives forever," she said.
