Coldplay Wrote a Tribute Song For Houston Victims of Hurricane Harvey
After having to cancel a Houston concert last week, Coldplay showed the flooded city some love from afar with a new song they wrote called, wait for it, "Houston." The band performed it for the first time at their Miami concert on Monday night.
Chris Martin, frontman for Coldplay, told the crowds that he and his fellow band members grew up loving country music, and that's what they think of when they visit Texas.
After canceling their Friday night show in Houston due to Hurricane Harvey, the band said in a statement on Facebook. "We really wanted to play tonight, but sitting here all together watching the news about the storm we feel that we can't ask anyone to put their safety at risk."
Over the last few days we have seen many Celebrities getting behind Houston including Kevin Hart, who put a challenge out to his fellow celebrity friends to help raise money.
And now the Kardashian's have got behind it too, giving $500,000 to The American Red Cross and The Salvation Army.
It is so amazing to see these and many other celebrities giving their bit to help the people on need.
