Why you don’t want to miss the festival experience this summer!
Summer is here, and so are a whole bunch of music festivals! The next couple of months are packed with artists performing across New Zealand!
If you’re having trouble convincing your bestie to come with you or even need convincing yourself, we’ve come up with some awesome reasons to let your hair down and enjoy some of the acts touring New Zealand this year!
The memories you will make
Don’t be that friend who gets FOMO. Summer is the perfect time to take a few days off and spend time with friends who you might not see during the year because of school, uni or just life in general. You may even bump into people in the mosh pit you didn’t know were going to be there!
Escape from work
If you are one of those unfortunate people who end up working over the Christmas and New Year, many festivals actually happen later on during summer. You can still work those extra hours without missing out on some of the year’s hottest artists. St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival 2020 for example is on the 27th of January. It’s the perfect excuse to take a day off without trying to get time off during the busiest holiday period (especially if you work in hospitality or retail).
Need an excuse to wear that dress you bought from an online boutique, or really want to buy a cute new summer outfit? Festivals are the perfect opportunity to get glammed up, stick on those gems and take enough photos to give your phone a heart attack.
The Q97 team have some double passes to give away. You could be heading to St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival 2020 with a friend! Stay tuned to Q97 for more information on how you can win or check the @q97hits Instagram and Facebook page. We want you to be able to experience all the festival perks, you just have to get the day off work!
