Sushi Doughnuts are a thing!?

 A vegan sushi-lover has given her favourite snack food a makeover, moulding sticky rice into a dinky ring shape.


The "sushi doughnuts" were the brainchild of Instagram user @sobeautifullyraw. While the cooked rice marks a departure from her brand, the Japanese delights are vegan and use that staple of every 'clean' eater's pantry: coconut oil. 

 The foodie explains: "Simply grease a donut mould with coconut oil, mould in cooled sushi rice and then gently remove by lifting the pan upside down."
