A Britney And Christina Duet May Be On The Way
Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera may be recording music together, which is a sentence we never thought we would hear, only if they would just hurry up and make time machines work.
But here we are in 2016, talking about the possibilities of this really happening as both pop princesses are listed as performers on a music licensing website for Britney’s 2016 song “Do You Wanna Come Over?” This was discovered by a sharp-eyed Twitter user, who shared a screenshot of the listing on Tuesday.
A quick look at the website, the Australasian Performing Right Association (ARPA), confirms yes, this is a real copyright.
But the question is, does it actually mean a Britney and Christina collab is coming?
Well, “Do You Wanna Come Over?” is a song off Britney’s 2016 album, Glory, so it’s definitely not a new song.
But Christina’s also definitely not on that original track.
So, maybe it’s a remix?
Or maybe Christina is sampling the track? While Britney’s been busy with her comeback album, it’s been a minute since we’ve heard from the other ’90s pop princess.
Please just let this be real so we can carry on with our lives...
