Ariana Grande Announces More Details on Manchester Benefit Concert 1 Week After Attack
Ariana Grande will lean on her most famous and closest friends in the music industry for a benefit concert for Manchester. “One Love Manchester” will take place Sunday, June 4, at the Emirates Old Trafford Center Cricket Ground, with Ariana headlining a star-studded lineup that includes Justin Bieber, Coldplay, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Pharrell Williams, Usher, Niall Horan, and Take That, according to the BBC.
All net ticket proceeds from the concert, which will be broadcasted on BBC Television, BBC Radio, and Capital Radio Networks, will benefit the “We Love Manchester Emergency Fund” set up by Manchester City Council and the British Red Cross, according to the official announcement.
Those who attended Ariana’s concert at Manchester Arena on May 22 — the night 22 people were killed in a suicide bombing — will have the opportunity to register for free tickets, while the general public can purchase tickets starting Thursday.
Not only will this be one amazing show but it is so brave of Ariana to go back only a week after the events of the bombing, to show anyone out there who wishes to cause terror that we will not be silenced.
Shawn Mendes called music "one of the very rare things in life that can bring people together in a way that words cannot describe, but we can only feel."
