'Lava Lamp' cocktails are now a thing and we want one!
Retro is so in atm that we aren't even surprise that some smart cookie thought this would be a good idea... we introduce to you the Lava Lamp cocktail A.K..A. the Funkadelic!
The Honeywell, a 70's theme bar in New York, have created this new drink, and apparently it tastes sweet and citrusy with the head bartender saying it was designed with wine lovers in mind.
However if hoping across to the states is too much of a trip for you well luckily you can try making one at home! and then if your DIY version isn't too great, New York it is!
1 oz. Pisco
1 oz. Velvet Falernum
1 oz. Italian dry vermouth
3 oz. tonic water
Pinch of citric acid
2 Frozen Chianti spheres
Combine all ingredients in a shaker and roll/throw to mix. Build into the Lava Lamp over pebbled ice and layer in two Frozen Chianti spheres.
