Taylor Swift has been one of the many women to come forward with their sexual assault experience.
With all the sexual misconduct coming to light in recent months, it's inspiring to see the huge publication name these brave women in such an honour, however some people aren't impressed with Taylor's involvement.
Fans took to Social Media to express their concern, and none other than Sophie Turner, fiance to Joe Jonas, who is one of Taylor's exes, defended TIMES decision to award Tay Tay.
Radio host DJ David Mueller groped Taylor during a meet and greet in 2013, and went on to sue her for defamation after she exposed him. She then countersued him back for $1, which she still has not been paid.
“I figured that if he would be brazen enough to assault me under these risky circumstances and high stakes, imagine what he might do to a vulnerable, young artist if given the chance,” Taylor told Time, explaining how the incident went down in a public setting. “It was important to report the incident to his radio station because I felt like they needed to know.”
As long as all of the women that have come forward are praised for their bravery, we have no problem with Taylor Swift being one of those women!
