It's confirmed: RuPaul's Drag Race Down Under
Rumors circulated following the information that RuPaul was undertaking isolation in New Zealand facilities. Now, TVNZ has confirmed the exciting news that RuPaul's Drag Race is coming 'down under'
“I can’t wait for everyone to see that Down Under queens have some of the biggest charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talents in the world,” RuPaul said in a statement Monday.
This Australian version of the show will be the sixth international spinoff to go into production, but only the second to be hosted by RuPaul. Michelle Visage will claim her usual seat at the judging panel, the third judge will be announced at a later date.
The show is the most critically acclaimed reality television show in the history of the Emmy Awards. So much so that, RuPaul entered the Guinness Book of World Records just last year for the most consecutive wins for the Best Reality Host.
A since-deleted Instagram post read: "It's coming!!! The Queens will fly to Auckland to start their 14-day isolation at the beginning of January and start filming around the 29[th]. Start your engines ladies."
We won't have to wait long for the season to hit our screens either, the show will premier exclusively on TVNZ later this year and we can't wait!
